An injection molding machine is the leading molding equipment to make thermoplastic or thermosetting plastic into various shapes of plastic products by using plastic molding molds, which are divided into vertical, horizontal, and all-electric types. The injection molding machine heats the plastic and applies high pressure to the molten plastic to make it shoot out and fill the mold cavity.
The working principle of the injection molding machine is similar to the syringe used for injection. It is the process of injecting the plasticized molten plastic (i.e., dense flow state) into the closed mold cavity with the help of the thrust of the screw (or plunger) and obtaining the products after curing and shaping.
Injection molding is a cyclic process. Each cycle mainly includes: quantitative filling - melt plasticization - pressure injection - mold filling and cooling - mold opening and removal. After taking out the plastic parts, the mold is closed again for the next cycle.
